Once Journey to Atlantis comes in everything starts really going downhill. I think it was fine up until 3:30 or so personally though. There are a couple of smaller parts throughout that work pretty well together but otherwise there's just too much going on. Personally, the first 1:15 sounds the best. Usually I don't like harping on amateur content unless something's really egregious.įor a first time, it's not too bad at all. It's beyond just a little noisy, which is why I commented on it. Still, not bad overall, especially if the maker is new to these, and points at least for managing to cram in a ton of songs. Very different style, but here's a much cleaner example, though this is much easier given that it has literally about 9 times fewer songs. It's hard to strip vocals from an original track, especially if it has a ton of layering to begin with. Generally I recommend you pull as many official instrumental tracks made available as possible and then layer your desired vocals from the original track over that with the instrumental and all. There's an art to these, otherwise you just confuse the listener's ears. I get the impression the creator is pretty much brand new to making mashups. Some really crunchy sounding parts in the Rough/On the Road and the Lucky One parts entire back half with out of key pairings between vocals & the backing track.

This is how you get very tinny and washed out sounds. Also, using MR removed versions was a really bad idea. Too noisy there's like one song too many in each instrumental. We do not have affiliation with that subreddit, so use it at your own risk.Īll this is doing is reminding me how great and groovy of instrumentals Playing with Fire, Lucky One, and the cleans from Hate have.
